            <title><![CDATA[Joachim Paul]]></title>
            <description><![CDATA[<U>Joachim Paul</U>:&nbsp;Director of the Arab Middle East Office (AMEO) since January 2009. In his former positions he worked as an Emergency Specialist with UNICEF and headed UNICEF Zone Offices in Gaza, OPT (2002 - 2005), Batagram, North Western Frontier Province of Pakistan (2006) and Kilinochchi, in the formerly LTTE ("Tamil Tigers") controlled areas of Sri Lanka (2006 - 2007). Most recently he was based in Yaounde, Cameroon from where he worked also in Chad. Prior to his assignments with UNICEF Joachim Paul coordinated the German Fund for Palestinian NGOs and other regional civil society projects.  <BR>
