The Institute of Jerusalem Studies (IJS), the Jerusalem branch of the Institute for Palestine Studies (IPS), was established in 1995. IJS draws upon a local board of trustees, scholars, and administrators. The main objective of the Institute of Jerusalem Studies is to produce scholarship in English and Arabic on the city of Jerusalem. It publishes both the Jerusalem Quarterly (English) and the Hawliyyat al-Quds (Arabic).
