Mr. Ralf's Visit | |

The co-president of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Mr. Ralf Fücks visited Israel and Palestine in November for the second time this year. Mr. Fücks, former Minister for Urban Development and Environment in the city-state of Bremen (Northern Germany) met in Ramallah with project partners of the German foundation Heinrich Böll Stiftung and with political representatives of various political groups. The focus of the political meetings was put on the internal political situation in Palestine and the developments in the economic and social field. Meeting also with Mr. Ahmed Qureia (Abu Ala), Mr. Fücks was informed about the latest developments in the negotiations between Israel and the PA in view of the upcoming Middle East Summit in Annapolis. Both partners underlined the necessity of international involvement to solve the conflict and discussed possibilities of strengthening the international support for the Palestinian society. |
